Our History
Established in 1804 by the Thomas Lorton family, the Inn has a rich history of hosting guests including SC Governors, legislators, and foreign diplomats. It is the birthplace of Ella Lorton Lee, close friend of the Clemson family and stepmother to their grandchild.
